If you are ever looking for a fun Canadian vacay, I suggest checking out BC's Okanagan Valley. Westjet offers great seat sales into Kelowna and the outlying areas are absolutely breathtaking. If you are a fan of wine, the OK Valley has well over a hundred wineries according to the last vineyard map I saw, my favourites are Lang Vineyards and Elephant Island in Naramata. Burrowing Owl, just south of Oliver is another gem, nestled at the tip of the Sonora Desert. The other big attraction for me is the beautiful beaches with amazingly clear and warm water.
I am definately feeling home/BC sick these days, especially when the temperatures in the Okanagn have reached +35C in the past week.
I would love any suggestions from the YKers out there for fun things to do around town or things to look forward to in the coming summer months.

Pack up and come and camp in the Yukon!! :)
camping at Prelude Lake is a must
Folk on the Rock is a must
Watch all the float planes come in June 21 for the midnight float fly in and if you are sweet enough and have the gift of the gab one of them might fly you up to Tuk with him/her. I did.
Take a Buffalo Air DC3 over to Hay River, spend the night and fly back the following morning
Check out Ashoona Gallery down in oldtown. John Kussey will talk your ear off but he and his wife Goota Ashoona (originally from Cape Dorset) have a real place in Arctic art and the gallery is soo worth a visit.
see if any of the houseboats in the bay are doing a B&B thing. Could be fun.
Watch for sales. Some really hig priced items go on sale in the summer and good time to fill the glory hole in prep for Christmas gifting if that is your thing
Saturday Yard sales, good source for all kinds of things
Kara, I love camping! It would great to see the Yukon.
Indigo, thanks for the suggestions. I met John at an art fair at the Multiplex in November I believe. We bought some of Goota's whale bone ornaments for family for Christmas and their son Joe did a polar bear for my hubby. They are great!
I will for sure check out the other things you suggested. Thanks!
